Add some Black and Lacquer to your design

Heyyyyyllo! I am jittery, I am restless, I am just about ready for the kids to dive back into the new school year and start getting my personal work and home projects back on track.  I've been ogling these design by Caitlin Murray of Black Lacquer Designs. Fierce, bold, sexy and minimal. Love that combo! My home has been feeling a little minimal these days (except for our exploding basement) so I am appreciating this design aesthetic that keeps things simple but jazzes it up with some black and of course, some lacquer.

Here's some more!

This is Los Angeles folks, so Hollywood glam fits perfect here. The woman of this home would probably be washing her dishes sporting some red lipstick. Or at least that is what this vibe is making me imagine.

Those gold pendant lights are killer gorgeous!  Along with the black honed marble waterfall island? Ugh, so, so, sexy. This may be the first time I call a kitchen sexy, LOL.

The tones of the home are carried throughout. Simple and elegant.

White creamy walls, pops of colour, lots of texture, and of course a fiddle leaf tree!

Symmetry in design is always classic.
