A Post of Bests! Yay!

Hey you guys!!! Oh my gosh I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post! No excuses here but I've been happy with just doing everything else. It's given my mind a break about what to blog about and I have a ton of things to share with you guys! I am sure you are also in a festive mood now that halloween is done and the cold weather is slowly on it's way, no rush though ;) so I also have a few fun entertaining ideas to share.

So, I'm excited to share with you some things I love, am obsessed with, and have learned since we last met!

My new dining room mirror! From HomeSense! I am obsessed with their hand-crafted imports from India. Even their wooden candlesticks are gorgeous. Hand-weaved baskets, gold frames, etc!

And speaking of dining rooms, anything entertaining related! It is the season!

How cool is this? A huge armoire that opens up into a bar? I love this idea! And the mirror backdrop is perfection.

My new obsession for breakfast, like everyday this week!  Plain yogurt, (or vanilla if you prefer it sweetened) Muslix cereal, and pumpkin seeds. So high in protein and fibre!

Meatless dinners, lunches, etc...this open-faced Avocado sandwich was delish! Layer whatever you've got at home! This one I toasted in the oven with a spray of olive oil on both sides, then sliced cheese, avocado, fresh parsley and a squeeze of lime!

I've been working on another project and I'm so excited to share a few tips I've learned along the way. Because each project and client is different I learn something new on the job constantly!  What to invest in during a home reno? What will give you your biggest bang for your buck?  Good lighting and creating architectural interest is the best way to spend your money. Paint your walls a creamy white (I love Benjamin Moore's Simply White) to highlight both these changes and if you can invest in a moderately priced couch (like $2500) do it!

Adding all these mouldings made such a huge difference in this home!!! The white walls and lighting add extra impact.

This couch, exactly, is under $2000! The fabric is so soft and velvety and you can choose from many different styles, sizes, and fabrics! Many home stores offer this service, but this couch so far, is my favourite! Tell Pierre, Bianca sent you! Revive Decor, 15 Avenue Cartier, Pointe-Claire.

Jillian Harris. Do you guys know her? She's one of the hosts on the Woman's channel Love it or List it Vancouver? (She was also the bachelorette, but I didn't know her from that). She's adorable, fresh, and I'm obsessed with her blog. She also has perfect hair, like those crazy, sexy, curly/wavy hair. She tells you how to get that here!

And finally...

See what happens here when you paint your all beige (or grey) house white!!!

I hope you all have a nice weekend!

XOXO
B.
