My sister creates a sweet functional bathroom in a weekend (or 2)

Though a pretty cute bathroom to begin with, the original large pedestal sink was not functional for the family of four that shared this bathroom.  Eventually this 5 bedroom 1.5 bath home will be converted into a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home, but until then some updates were needed to create more storage.

Ikea had a bathroom event back in November so they picked up this Godmorgan vanity; and actually the bathroom event is on again until March 9th so don't miss it if you were thinking of updating your bathroom!

Just to give you an idea of how versatile and organized this wonderfully designed little drawer system can be. All the godmorgon accessories are sold separately.

A new mirror and hamper were also on the list of things to update so they settled on this beautiful metal hamper and mirror from HomeSense. The matching wall cabinet in the corner creates extra storage that keeps medicine away from little curious hands.

Since she is currently sharing this bathroom with her 2 young boys a step stool slides perfectly under this cabinet and a sweet little mirror gives them a view for teeth brushing.

I love capturing how people really live. Toothbrushes and all!

If you haven't had the chance to see the rest of the home check it out here. You will also find a before photo of the bathroom.  Her lovely kitchen updates is next on my list! So stay tuned!

XOXO

Hi Bianca! Nice post! I've never been to Ikea but I plan to give it a try. I really like the bathroom but I wish I could have seen the before pictures. ;)
