Holiday gift giving for teachers

Christmas is a great time for saying thank you to the many people in your child's life (we have 18!). What's nice about making something is that the kids actually partake in the gift making. It's relatively inexpensive and thoughtful.

I pinned this recipe from Crazy for Crust and it is super easy and very christmasy!

2 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup icing sugar + 1/2 cup for rolling the cookies in afterwards.
1 cup mini chocolate chips
1 cup softened unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

With an electric hand mixer mix the softened butter with the icing sugar and vanilla for about 1 minute. Add the flour and salt. The mixture will look crumbly but will stick together when you roll it into balls.

Mix in the chocolate chips.

Make balls by scooping 1 tablespoon of the cookie mixture and roll it. It will make 48 little cookies!

Cook for 7-9 minutes on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Once cooked (the bottom of the cookies should be a little browned) let them sit for 2 minutes then roll in a bowl of icing sugar. Let cool completely before packaging!

Make a second batch for your family! They are super yummy & satisfying!

These gorgeous little containers are from Ikea!
