What I want our new home to look like....

I'm quickly becoming a minimalist. Very hard task when you have a family of five.  I'm sure it's possible though. It's funny because Brooklyn (6) today emptied her room (happily & gracefully this time) of all things she did not deem beautiful or useful. I swear, she will be running my company by the age of 16.
I'm very excited to view a potential home tomorrow by the water in Ile-Perrot. It is a 60's Scandinavian bungalow and I hope it's the one. It's got three bedrooms on the upper level and a huge finished attic making it a perfect 4 bedroom- it also needs a new kitchen & paint throughout.
Below are perfect inspirations for this new home....

I love mix-matched chairs...it's fun! Just remember to keep them all the same colour!

White walls.....always...

It actually has crossed my mind to pull up a counter height chair in my own kitchen. Damb it, sometimes you just need to sit......while making dinner.

Love stacked wood! This house has a wood burning fireplace too!

I dream in glossy white Ikea cabinets and Carrera white marble counters.

How stunning is this fireplace?  Definitely one of my favourite finds...

Midcentury Entry by San Francisco Interior Designers & Decorators Alison Damonte Design

I would love to paint the front door a citrusy colour, like tangerine, lime or this yellow! Paired with beige or grey stone looks very contemporary.

I will let you know how the visit went...
