This is the home I'd love to live in.

This home featured by House Beautiful is nothing short of vibrant, sexy, cozy & functional-all at once. There are so many neutral elements but yet so many hits of colour-fearless design really. Can I make my home look this way? Because I want to.  It's only paint. And art. And perhaps a sofa in a sick pink or electric blue. Huh.

Designed by Todd Nickey & Amy Kehoe for a young, hip family in Malibu.  It's a sprawling spanish (mediterranian) style home.  If I lived in California this would be the style of home I'd live in.

They opted for a Calderesque mobile that gently sways when the doors are open as opposed to a typical chandelier.  It really balances the room well and creates architectural interest that draws your eye up to those fantastic ceilings.

Benjamin Moore's jade green brings the kitchen to life.

Yes! Kid's artwork on the fridge is a definite do.

It's interesting how every piece in this room is "thin".  I wonder if it makes you eat less?

This is dubbed the Wii room. I would never be this bold-but I'd love to try.

I could do this.  The blue walls & chevron style drapes take this room from looking too serious to fun & young.

Look at that carpet.

Missoni rug + blurred photo wallpaper= not your typical bathroom.  I'm loving the organic soaker tub.

Colour carries on to the outside living space as well.  The turquoise has a soothing peaceful effect.  To read more detail of this beautiful home visit House Beautiful.
