Beautiful Table Settings

It's no secret I love parties.  I love dreaming up the perfect "scheme" imagining the menu and even the turnout.  The kids birthday parties are the easiest because they are just plain fun.  The kids love what I do no matter what, even if it isn't perfect.  As long as there are decorations.  Setting a table is part of that fun.  But imagine that's all you have to do. Besides the food, of course.

I prefer a layered effect of placemats, tablecoth, napkins, etc.  I personally find it always looks more put together. DIY ALERT!  Make your own vases, this way you can have 4 or 5 sitting on the table!  This HGTV tablescape uses painted tin cans! This is an easy project the kids can do too!  Branches used as centerpieces are sprayed with gold paint (try Rust-o-Leum).

I love this "vintage" inspired place setting.  How cozy is that bedskirt turned table runner?  Or at least that's what I believe it is! Fabric is fabric. Be creative!

Layered plates.  If you do not have enough matching sets for your guests you can change every other place setting (so every second place setting matches).  I typically have to do this when my family comes over for dinner.

Keep it clean & elegant with an all white place setting and make the centerpiece the focal point with lots of colour.  Love the tassels in the background.  Going to try those one day.

Love this simple idea.  DIY:  Place setting table runners!
