DIY'd Daybed Reveal

I'm so excited to have had the energy to throw this together this afternoon to show you. After attacking my closet with a brutal purging I decided to do something pretty.  I styled my balcony for an evening of cocktails with my hubby (and probably a blanket too!) after we put the children to bed. Or maybe just after dinner, he he.

I will do a post tomorrow on how you, yes you, can achieve a practical, comfortable, beautiful and inexpensive daybed too.  I will do a run down on the costs as well.  Even if you don't sew I can show you an alternative.

I used this leather rug outside last year and it was amazing. The sun nor the rain did any damage.

Can't say enough how versatile these Lacke $10 Ikea tables are. I'll just pop them in when I need them elsewhere (or when it rains).

The orange vase really complements the blue, white & taupe scheme.  HomeSense $7.99

How cute is that white lacquered ceramic dog bowl. 2$ liquidation at HomeSense.  I was thinking it would be a good place to ash (for my smoking friends) but no butts please!

I've had this metal & rattan corner unit forever. It weathers and looks better every year. Great place to display plants & candles. It is secured to the post with a black plastic clip.

Pattern is your design buddy! It will liven things up so it doesn't look boring. Mix at least 3 patterns together to ensure a put together look.

I love it!
