Her home is as organic as her menu- and is also filled with Moroccan charm. Tagines, leather poufs, tapestry and art are in every room of her home- brought back from her travels to Morocco (where her family is from).
A custom made wall unit she designed to house her collection of books is the first thing you see when you walk into her quaint home in Rosemont. It is a beautiful first impression. It is perfectly placed above her couch and adds much needed storage to this otherwise small living space.

Her bed is another favourite of mine. A luxuriously soft duvet from Morocco is surrounded by a distressed Quebec wood frame. It's a beautiful combination.
It wasn't long after she moved into this 2 bedroom home that she did quite an overhaul. She completely gut the bathroom and turned it into this wonderful little retreat. It has a modern worldly feel to it.
The clean lines of the vessel sink and contemporary style toilet keep this room light and fresh.
Her kitchen was another complete gut job. She even broke down the wall separating her kitchen and what is now her dining room.
Her industrial stainless steel sink & large centre island fit perfectly with her new gourmet business.
Anoual starts planting for her garden indoors as early as March. These will be transplanted outdoors and used in all her delicious dishes.
Of course we had a wonderful little lunch in her front yard. Grilled eggplant, moroccan chicken and a delicious salad courtesy of the lunchbox meals she had prepared for La Presse earlier that week.
Anoual is a smart, beautiful (inside & out) fearless woman who loves the outdoors (think fishing out in the middle of nowhere) and knows her hockey better than most men.
