Spring is in the air...

Good morning on this beautiful warm rainy day.  The warmer weather always makes me want to throw away those coats that are probably 6 years old now... What better time to donate all your gently used items! But what to do with that broken plastic chair, or umbrella? Is it just me, or do you also feel bad tossing it in the garbage? I want to investigate and see if there's a better solution. Maybe, or maybe not. Here are some inspiring vestibule ideas for those who hate clutter and love everything in its place.

Classic Coastal Colonial Foyer traditional staircase

Okay, so this is a picture of a staircase and hallway. It's my inspiration for my own house. Love the two-tone wood and the runner. And the grass navy wallpaper. Wish it wasn't so darn expensive!

Historic St. Paul Kitchen and Mudroom Addition/Renovation traditional entry

This is a vestibule we can all envy! Ladder certainly would cause problems in a house with children though!

Brady 4-Piece Double Bench Entryway System modern bookcases cabinets and computer armoires

So maybe we can't all afford built-ins...but off the shelf items can certainly give us all the storage and style we need.  If you have small children consider hanging a few hooks at their height. It'll teach them young how to put their things away! Cubbies and storage boxes (small ones) are perfect for their mittens, hats, balls, etc.
